InHouse32 Version:  1.14, Release date:  13 September 2010

The M3I framework for Windows XP, Windows7 and Ubuntu/Debian Linux operating systems has been undergoing development since 2000, supported by different grants. It contains a set of platform-independent C++ libraries of algorithms, visualization methods and data structures, which permitthe development of all sorts of medical imaging applications, including command line utilities and complex interactive graphical programs. The current development goals are to implement sophisticated statistical data- and image-processing algorithms and develop complex clinical image-processing applications for our R+D projects.

Features

  • Abstract data representation for handling PET list-mode data, parallel and cone-beam 2D/3D sinograms, volumetric and dynamic tomographic images, time-activity curves, functional colored anatomical surfaces, EEG/MEG time series, handling ROI/VOI structures, tractography fibers, 2D/3D markers, etc.
  • OpenGL-based 2D/3D visualization embedded into the Qt GUI development framework, 2D/3D/4D slice visualization combined with 3D/4D coloured surface manipulation
  • DICOM, MINC, NIfTI-1 and LORETA file I/O combined with HDF5-based data formats for special cases.
  • Cluster-based PET data acqusition, real-time event-processing running in parallel environment
  • Multi-core, PC-cluster and GPU-cluster-based image algebra and reconstruction routines
  • Advanced mathematics for 2D/3D/4D image reconstruction, statistical segmentation, image registration and data restoration algorithms
  • Special tools for fMRI and DWI-related image processing
  • Wavlet-based dynamic series anaysis
  • Graph theory-based functional connectivity analysis
  • etc.
